Warranty Policy — FoldWindows INC

FoldWindows INC (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides a 10-Year Limited Warranty on all custom-manufactured windows and doors. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.

This policy applies to all orders placed through FoldWindows.com.


1. Warranty Coverage (10 Years Total)

FoldWindows INC provides a 10-year warranty from the date of delivery on:

  • Aluminum frames

  • Hardware (hinges, locks, handles, tracks)

  • Gas strut mechanisms

  • Glass seal failure

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Structural defects

  • Paint/powder coating defects

If a covered issue is confirmed, FoldWindows INC will:

✔ Repair the product OR

✔ Replace the defective part OR

✔ Provide a full replacement unit (if necessary)

The choice between repair or replacement is at our discretion.


2. What the Warranty Covers

This 5-year warranty includes:

  • Material defects

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Frame issues

  • Premature hardware failure

  • Glass fogging caused by seal failure

  • Paint peeling or cracking under normal use


3. What the Warranty Does NOT Cover

This warranty does NOT apply to:

❌ Incorrect measurements provided by the customer

❌ Incorrect installation

Installation must be done by a licensed professional.

❌ Damage caused during installation

❌ Physical damage after delivery

Including dents, scratches, bending, or breakage.

❌ Environmental or job-site conditions

Such as:

  • House shifting

  • Improper flashing

  • Leaks caused by incorrect installation

  • Corrosion from chemicals or saltwater due to lack of cleaning

❌ Freight or shipping damage

(This must be reported within 24 hours under the shipping policy.)

❌ Normal wear and tear

  • Fading

  • Minor scratches

  • Loose screws

  • Maintenance issues

❌ Abuse or misuse

Anything outside normal operation voids the warranty.


4. Warranty Void Conditions

Warranty is void if:

  • Product is installed incorrectly

  • Non-approved parts or hardware are used

  • The customer or installer damages the product

  • Modifications were made after delivery

  • Maintenance instructions were ignored

  • Freight damage was not documented at delivery


5. Filing a Warranty Claim

To file a claim, provide:

  1. Order number

  2. Full name

  3. Photos/videos clearly showing the issue

  4. Description of the problem

  5. Proof of installation (licensed installer)

We respond within 3–5 business days.


6. Warranty Resolution

If the claim is approved:

  • Replacement parts will be shipped

  • Repair support will be provided

  • In rare cases, a full replacement unit will be produced

⚠️ Labor and installation costs are NOT included in the warranty.

Customer is responsible for any labor required.


7. Liability Limitations

FoldWindows INC is not responsible for:

  • Installation errors

  • Contractor mistakes

  • Property damage

  • Project delays

  • Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the product’s purchase price.


8. Transferability

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
